As an artist my mind is stuck in a fantasy realm, but I create art so the real word can meet my expectations.
About the Talk
This talk aims to shut down the expectation that artist’s’ work should be more than just an expression of their talent or emotion, but rather be used to carry deep meanings or some political agenda. This talk is in support of those artists whose work is not viewed as “enough” because it doesn’t mean the new expectations of “modern art”. It is especially aimed at younger artists who don’t have as much experience, and probably have yet to form any political/social views and simply love to make art for the sake of it.
Alex Hill, therefore, encourages young artists to just do it: follow your heart and create your art!
